In February, 2007, the Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County was recognized for voluntary compliance with state and national standards for Community Foundations. This involved a comprehensive study of the Foundation's mission, structure, governance, resource development, stewardship and accountability, grantmaking and community leadership, donor relations and communications.

To champion enduring and effective philanthropy that enhances the local quality of life. We accomplish our mission through:
