Growing Your Endowment The Community Foundation has held several workshops for agency partners on how to start and build a permanent source of support for your mission. Please contact us if you have any questions about how we may assist you.
An Endowment 101 workshop was held during August 2007. Click here for an article summarizing the workshop, or click the torch icon below to download the summary and workshop handouts in pdf. | |

June Miller's first workshop was so well received that we sponsored an Endowment 201 workshop for agency staff and volunteers in Feb. 2009. It included a brief recap of endowment basics before moving into more depth about prospect identification, motivating volunteers as well as donors to engage in this process, and the case for support. You may also find it useful to view our Planned Giving Seminar, which you can watch online by clicking here. Planned gifts present a wonderful opportunity for building your endowment fund. This video can help your staff and volunteers understand the potential of planned gifts. It is also a tool you can use with donors to help them see the possibilities for meeting their personal and financial goals as well as their charitable goals.

Marketing Your Fund You never know when a friend of your agency may be updating their estate plan and considering their charitable legacy. One of the keys to successful endowment-building is continuously educating your supporters about how your endowment helps your mission and how they can make legacy gifts to ensure your future.
